Bringing your business into 2021
Oct 21 – Written By Stephanie Sheargold
It’s been a bizarre and tough year for businesses of all sizes. Business plans have been upended by COVID and business owners have had to keep track of constant twists and turns, making changes at all levels to manage new targets. But now it’s time to look forward to 2021. Here are some ideas to focus on for Christmas and beyond.
A key feature of this year has been uncertainty, but the best business out there are the ones who rapidly adapt to the new restrictions and challenges. If you can, try to embrace the changes quickly – this means making decisive decisions proactively and not being afraid to take the steps that other businesses take their time with.
Another big point of importance is better communication. We’ve heard it all before, but these really are unprecedented times and the last thing your loyal employees need on their plates is more and more anxiety-inducing ambiguity from the top down. So keep your teams in the know – they’ll repay you with hard work, dedication and perseverance.
Finally, go to your clients for advice. Your clients are who you need to impress and satisfy, so don’t be afraid to learn more about what they want from you in the post-COVID landscape. Send out surveys, arrange focus groups or just get some face-to-face (or video face-to-face) time with your clients and customers and work out how to proceed from there.
Those are some focal points you’ll want to consider to get your business in shape for the new year – to help you even more, our virtual assistants are on hand to help you organise and prepare.
